First Alterac Valley Experience - World of Warcraft
Wow..
My very first experience in Alterac Valley was great! There was action all over the place and even at level 51 I was able to stealth in and kill several level 60’s. I was totally lost at first since I didn’t read all the information about the battleground on the official site. But, once I did that, everything started to make sense.
To top it off, Horde won in about an hour.
My AV experience was warped from the beginning. Of course, the experiences after that was no where near the same. I soon started to realize why people complain about AV and battlegrounds in particular. Many of the pick-up groups I have been with are completely unorganized. Sometimes you will go back and forth at the center of the map for over 5 hours straight.
The good thing about Alterac valley is the variety of things you can do to help out your alliance. Since I am a low level(only 53 now), I can get a few kills…but I will get killed quickly if I don’t stick and move. I usually take it upon myself to collect the ram pelts needed to summon the wolf-riders.
(If you are really bad, you can find spots to grind instead of helping out your alliance-while earning honor at the same time….I don’t think you should do that though.. lol)
Now I have the confidence to take out people much higher level than I am. I know I have pissed off several cocky level 60’s at this point.
Now I have to force myself to grind instead of killing people in AV all day…
