Developing Pvp Skill in MMORPGs + World of RogueCraft
It annoys me when people make this statement:
“OH EM GEE! It takes no skill to press 3 buttons!!11!”
I’m sure you know the type. There are a few games out there that don’t require skill, but World of Warcraft isn’t one of them. You never really know what some of your opponents may throw at you.
So many people watch videos and believe everything they see. The World of Roguecraft video is a perfect example. Sure you MIGHT be able to absolutely dominate an individual every 10 minutes. Preparation is a rogue ability that allows you to reuse all of your cooldowns immediately. (Prep has a 10 minute cooldown). The video fails to show the 396234 attempts it took to get the video perfect. How do I know it took several attempts to destroy people?
-I play a rogue for one.
-I know how effective prep is
-ANY rogue who has played long enough knows how often kidney shot and gouge misses, is parried, dodged, etc.
1 miss against a well equipped epic wearing warrior, and you are dead (if you have no armor). You will survive a LITTLE longer if you have armor.
