Tips on raising a hatchling, anyone?

So yeah, already deleveled my hatchling, and he gains exp slower than I do.

No armor or weapon for it yet. How critical are these things when you start leveling it? Also, I've just been aggroing things on me with hate, then letting the drag kill it. It takes a long time, and the dragon still doesn't get much exp.

Any tips anyone?

buy your pet the 9 mill weapon and armour from giran pet manager for the win! and before anyone says "thats a strider weapon"... NO IT ISN'T! there isa 9 mill strider weapon and a 9 mill hatchling weapon.
