This is not a carebear question. Full loot can be a nightmare if it isn't implemented correctly. Do you support full looting?

Why or why not?

..the rest of you in this game. Smile

I'm certainly not trying to take you away from L2. I don't know if this game will be good or not. So far all signs are pointing to yes, however.

So, with that said, what would it take to pull you guys away if this game turns out to be a hit?

But you dont get much more then the satifaction of killing the idiot.I think it is a great gaming expirance extansion to be able to slaughter the idiot, loot him dry and run away screaming SCREW YOU MOTHER FUCKER. only my opp. tho.

mmm, there's no way a full loot system would work if "loot" was the same as it is in L2 or WoW.

Armor and Weapons need to be mass produced and similar in quality. No Epics or Legendary's. No exceptions. Wealth will be determined by how well you can equip yourself continually, not how good the items you wear are.

If I can't kill the lot of average players I fight everyday using NPC bought items only, then full loot wouldn't seem that fair. The thing about DF is that its supposed to be based on SKILL and not items.

well i played uo, and there full loot was balanced. so im all for full loot.

i remember there being speical items there aswell, wich made you a tad stronger, and gave you an edge, with the risk of loosing it. me like !

chances of me playing darkfall.. i gues ill see how good salic is at convincing me to play.

This sounds like another bad extension of Guild Wars to be honest.

Any PvP game that is based around "skill" and not gear/levels gets boring very fast.

Yes, you don't have the grind that makes you want to kill yourself, but you also don't have a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day either.

I know of a few games where you can get your kicks killing mindless amounts of people that really don't care. When levels are easy to get, and you don't risk losing gear that you spent weeks to collect (yes, you say there is a full loot system... but it doesn't make a damn if the items are cheap and readily available), you don't care if you die. And if the person you kill doesn't care whether they die... you start not caring whether you killed them or not...

I mean c'mon... would killing people in L2 be even HALF as fun if people didn't get mad or care?

You know as well as I do that making people angry/upset is what makes PvP stay fun. Yeah, you feel good about that +1 PvP count... but what really makes you smile inside is knowing someone on the other side of that moniter is throwing their keyboard around the room by its USB cord.

Seriously... tell me I'm wrong Wink

There's a balance I think and the two games you are talking about are at opposite ends of the spectrum. While in Guild Wars (and WoW...) dieing means waiting 30 seconds for a rez and hoping back into the friendly game of Capture the Flag. And in L2 means you might drop an item you spent 10000 hours farming for and may lose 10 hours worth of grinding. While I'd certainly prefer L2 death system, because it makes you fight for something, it completely makes PvP impossible. Too much online. In a full loot system, yeah, items might not be all that impressive, but having the ability to re-equip yourself after a death will be what's important. When you start talking about dieing and taking a hit in your coffer (or make a little extra cash for your kills Cheers ) It still makes PvP possible and worthwhile at the same time. I'm sick of getting into arguments with people that end in name calling... All ingame conflict should end in, "Oh yeah? I'm the newb? Well the broadsword I just looted off your corpse says shut the fuck up."

Honestly who wants to spent 2834 hours getting good equipment. Anyone who's played mmo's knows it's all about the equipment, I for 1 need a break from all this equipment bs. I can see how it could really fuck a game up with full loot, but hopefully the makers have the vision to not let that happen.

Gamers today are Pussies. Full Loot is something I had in every MMUD I played as a kid. In those games, you spent quite a bit of time getting items, and if a player dropped you or a monster, your corpse would be on the ground for an hour and your loot would be on it. Anyone could search your corpse, and after an hour the items on yer corpse were just placed on the ground.

Another thing was Lives. Your characters had lives per level. So this means if you spent months gettin a level 12 character and someone killed you (lives were racially dependant mostly 8-10 per level) your character got ROLLED!

So when I hear full loot I think psshhht who cares. I'll go farm more items or make some or go to the guild hall and grab a spare if I die. Just be happy you people don't have lives and the possibility of gettin Rolled!

Full loot is nessecary for a pvp game. Naked mage syndrom is being looked at so DF should have a balance for that. Having stock piles as a guild will be essential so that if we do die, we're not shit outta luck stuck fighting with our fists. Overall the full loot will lead to building a great economy and will make city management very important. Good to see the poll at 9/0 for full loot. Looks like we all want a piece of this action.

I don't think any pvp system will be exciting without a full loot system.
